Here at Aberdeen Bead Company we strive to offer a variety of options for classes.  We have sessions that focus on everything from basic jewelry making techniques to more intensive sessions to boost your beading creativity, kid’s art & beading classes, as well as painting & mixed media classes.  Each month we develop a class calendar that will help you stay “on-trend” with your jewelry wardrobe & offer fun activities for all ages.   Call ahead to let us know you plan on coming, since schedule changes sometimes occur & we want to offer the best opportunities to you, our customer.

These are some ongoing classes held at the shop:

 Beadology 101 – First  Wednesday and Saturday of each month

Explore the world of beads! Introduction to basic tools, findings and techniques for making  jewelry. Class instruction for one starter style of necklace and one pair of earrings. Class fee includes materials needed for project. Any additional materials or deviations from the standard project materials will incur an additional fee. We offer class participants a 10% discount on additional supplies purchased during the class.

Make & Take Tuesdays!!!  6-8pm

Every Tuesday Evening is a New Project!  You MUST call ahead if you plan on attending the Tuesday night Make & Take class. If there are not enough participants signed up, the session will be cancelled & the store will be closed for the evening.

Wacky Wednesday Kid’s Art Classes – 3:30-5pm

Drop the kiddos at Aberdeen Bead Company on Wednesday afternoons and let their imaginations soar!!!  We will create all kinds of fun art & bead projects! Each session has a different project and we will explore various materials and art styles; including paper, ink, acrylic paint, textiles, oil pastels, watercolors, wire, mixed media, 3-d sculpture, collage, printmaking, and jewelry to start a list!

Home School Classes Thursdays 1-2:30pm

We have home school art classes for school aged children (5-13). We offer weekly projects that allow children to express their artistic creativity through a multitude of mediums including paint, printmaking, beads, & more!

BYOB Paint Classes  Friday 7-9pm

Step-by-Step Painting Classes.  All supplies and instruction included. Each session has a specific painting that the instructor will lead step-by-step so that you start with a blank canvas & leave with a finished acrylic painting! No experience needed.

If you have a special request for a project not on our schedule, please contact us and we can arrange for a private session.  Private session fees vary and are based on project supplies and complexity.
